Welcome to the APBoard Forum

The APBoard has been around for over 25 years. It started in 1999 and was first officially released in 2000 as a personal PHP project, built entirely out of passion with nothing but the PHP3 documentation and a lot of trial and error. No formal training, just curiosity. The community that grew around it reached over 250,000 members, and the software spread across countless servers.

The last version of the old APBoard was released in 2006. Then the project ended. But there is at least one community out there, that still uses the old APBoard and APPortal since over 25 years! And they are also still very active! Take a look at http://www.rcpanzer.de

In 2023 we started over from scratch. APBoard v3 is a complete rewrite - modern PHP, clean architecture, GPL v3, and no shortcuts on security or privacy.

This forum is the place where it all comes together. Ask questions, report bugs, share ideas, discuss features, or just hang around and see what the project is up to. Whether you're running APBoard on your own server or just curious about where things are headed, you're welcome here.
